Shop for produce (and more!) at Rockland’s Farmers’ Markets
Pomona, NY – Want fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, picked at the peak of flavor and packed with vitamins and minerals? If your answer is yes, the Rockland County Department of Health suggests you shop at one (or more!) of the many Farmers’ Markets in Rockland.

All of the markets listed below accept the New York State Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) to buy locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have farmers and vendors who can accept FreshConnect Checks (FCC). FreshConnect Checks are available to veterans of all ages, regardless of income, to ensure that they have access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Some Farmers’ Markets also accept Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program (SNAP)/Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT).

  • To find out if you qualify for FMNP, WIC participants call 845-364-2577 and senior citizens call845-364-2110.
  • FreshConnect checks can be picked up from the Division of Veterans Affairs State offices located at West Point Military Base; call Devon Clark at 845-938-0231 for more information. The checks can also be picked up at the VA Medical Center in Montrose; call Joseph Moore at 914-788-4367 for more information. Visit https://otda.ny.gov/news/2014/2014-05-15.asp  to learn more.
