THIELLS – A 39-year-old Stony Point man has been accused of being a repeat drunk driver after he was stopped for driving erratically early Saturday morning, according to the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department.

Police said Luis Delgado was stopped by a Sheriff’s officer at 6:45 a.m. Saturday on Thiells-Mount Ivy Road. Delgado, police said, was found to be intoxicated and was taken to the Sheriff’s Headquarters in New City. An investigation found that Delgado had previously been convicted of DWI.

Delgado was charged with driving while intoxicated as a felony and arraigned in Haverstraw Town Court, where he was ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $1,000 bail. He faces a hearing on Thursday in Town Court.
