PDI Announces Appointment of Peter Cempellin and Patrick Treacy to Senior Leadership Roles

ORANGEBURG, NY – July 2, 2014 – Professional Disposables International, Inc., (PDI) announced the appointment of Peter Cempellin and Patrick Treacy to senior leadership roles that drive the Company’s continued evolution to a global infection prevention solutions provider. Peter was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for PDI. Patrick was appointed Executive Vice President of PDI and President of PDI Healthcare, the division that supports acute care, long term care, dental and alternate care facilities.

Peter Cempellin oversees and drives key strategies pertaining to Research and Development, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Business Development and the Company’s New York manufacturing site. Prior to joining PDI, Peter held numerous leadership positions within the healthcare industry. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CAE Healthcare, a world leader in simulation and integrated training solutions for physicians and healthcare professionals worldwide. Peter successfully grew this firm from a seed funded initiative through startup and growth to a global firm. Peter also served as Vice President, General Manager at Analogic Corporation, a producer of enabling technologies used in computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, digital mammography (DM), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and General Manager of Philips Healthcare’s Oncology focused Global Molecular Imaging business.

Patrick Treacy leads the day-to-day performance, strategy, customer -facing organization and financial performance of PDI Healthcare, which is the company’s largest division. Prior to joining PDI, Patrick developed a passion for the advancement of infection prevention while serving as Global Vice President and General Manager of the Knee Reconstructive business unit at Stryker Orthopaedics, the largest operating division of Stryker Corporation. While at Stryker, he led a team of world renowned surgeons and scientists to develop an infection control strategy. Patrick has over 20 years of experience in the Medtech industry, holding a number of leadership positions at Howmedica (a division of Pfizer), Datascope and Stryker.
