Boulders Return on Military Appreciation Night

Rockland opens 7-game home stand with salute to troops

Following a 10-game road trip through the American Association, the Rockland Boulders return home on Fri., June 27 with the first of seven games in eight nights. The team’s return to Provident Bank Park is also Military/Veterans Appreciation Night where Rockland will pay tribute to all our service men and women, past and present.

“This is a great night for our team as well as the community,” said team president Ken Lehner. “It is a night for all of us to come together and honor those who have served this country so generously and so bravely.”

As a way of saying “Thank You” for the service provided by these heroes in uniform, all active, retired, and disabled veterans will be given free admission to the 7 p.m. contest against the New Jersey Jackals. They will also have the opportunity to purchase up to three additional tickets at 50 percent off at the box office with valid military ID. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Boulders Camouflage Cap thanks to the Nam Knights and Active International.

The event is also designed to collect supplies that American troops overseas may need or want. There will be collection boxes set up at Provident Bank Park during the game so fans are also encouraged to bring supplies to be donated and sent overseas to our troops serving abroad. The Nam Knights will supervise sending the supplies abroad. Some supplies our soldiers want and need include, but are not limited to:

-Beef/Bacon Jerky                                                 -Sun Block
-Tuna (foil bag)                                                     -Rice Krispie Treats
-Tasty Kake Treats                                                -Oatmeal (Instant)

Fans will also want to stick around after the final out for a post-game Fireworks Extravaganza to be followed by live music from the Ronald Reagans.
