PROJECT LIFE students to be recognized

The Project LIFE class from North Rockland High School will be recognized for their dedicated participation in the community-based vocational training program on Thursday, June 12, 12 noon at Yo2Go in Garnerville. The event will be hosted by three North Rockland business owners, who are partnering with the Project LIFE class to provide vocational training to students with intellectual disabilities at their place of business: Simone’s Cleaners, Yo2Go and Visible Changes Salon.

All North Rockland business owners who are interested are welcome to stop by and meet the students, teachers and business partners. Students and teachers will be available for questions about the program. Simone Zitouni, who has spearheaded the Supported Employment initiative, works closely with North Rockland High School’s Community Based Vocational Training program. For more information about the Community Based Vocational Training program contact the Project LIFE Teacher, Gina Tedesco at North Rockland High School or Simone Zitouni at Simone’s Cleaners.
