Nanuet hamlet’s first street fair on June 8

The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce will host the hamlet’s first Street Fair on Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Over 100 vendors are expected to participate by taking a spot along Main Street from the entrance to Stop & Shop down to Prospect Street. The event will be the first of its kind in Nanuet and will be similar to the Street Fair held in New City.

“We are thrilled to be hosting an event of this kind! It will give the business owners in Nanuet and neighboring towns an opportunity to showcase their products and services to thousands of people from around the County and we expect we will also draw folks from Bergen County,” said Risa Hoag, president of the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce. In addition to local businesses, there will be food vendors and a wide variety of entertainment throughout the day as well as a separate section with rides and activities for kids.

Entertainment will include an opening flag ceremony by Nanuet Boy Scout Troop 33, live DJ all day, Part of Five an Accapella DooWop group, performances by Dance Central, Bit o’ Rhythm Marimba and Steel Drum Band and local Nanuet talent! There is no charge for admission to the street fair.

“Chamber Board members Susan Farese and Joe Brunelli have been working closely with Alex Gromack and the Town of Clarkstown to ensure that every detail is taken care of and Clarkstown has bent over backwards to ensure that our first event is a big success, we are very grateful for their support,” added Hoag.
