MICROSTAMPING IS NO GOOD

To the Editor,

The bullying of gun owners continues in New York. The NY SAFE Act was not enough. Now micro stamping is due for a vote in the Codes Committee. Imagine if Albany passed a law that said all future sales of printing presses had to come from one manufacturer. Would you sit still for that? Imagine if Albany passed a law that saie all future automobiles had to be the Google Driverless Car what would you do.

We do not oppose the introduction of new, non intrusive technology that has proven to be an effective aid to law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of criminals. The technology proposed here does not meet that standard. Micro-stamping may be good for a few individuals who may profit from it’s passage but is bad for all of New York.

Sincerely,
