SALVATION ARMY HONORS O&R’S ORTIZ

The Rockland County Salvation Army last week presented its Doing the Most Good Award to O&R’s Vice President for Customer Operations Edwin J. Ortiz. The presentation was made by the Salvation Army’s Rockland Coordinator Major Marcus Jugenheimer during the Ninth Annual Awards breakfast at the organization’s local headquarters in West Nyack. Ortiz, who oversees O&R’s Customer Service, Meter Reading New Business, Energy Services, Customer Service Business Systems and Support departments, has been member of the Salvation Army’s Rockland County Advisory Board for many years. He chaired the Board from 2010-2013.

The award citation read: “The Salvation Army is grateful to Mr. Ortiz for his dedicated service and wise advice over all his years on the Rockland County Advisory Board and for his commitment, both professionally and personally to serve the residents of Rockland County.”
