2 DWIs reported in Clarkstown

The Clarkstown Police Department made two DWI arrests in separate incidents over the weekend.

On Friday May 9, 2014 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of a one car accident at Ridge Road and Caesar Court in Congers. The motorist, Glenn Carlson, 50, of Valley Cottage was interviewed at the scene and placed under arrest for DWI. He was transported to Nyack Hospital for a minor injury and submitted to a blood test. Glenn Carlson was charged with DWI (misdemeanor) and given an appearance ticket to return to Clarkstown Justice Court June 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

On Saturday May 10, 2014 at 3:10 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department conducted a traffic stop for numerous traffic violations in the area of Rt. 9W and Rt. 303 in Congers. The motorist Tomika Ashby, 35, of Haverstraw was interviewed and arrested for DWI. She performed a field sobriety test and submitted to a breathalyzer test. She was charged with DWI (misdemeanor), Pass a red light (traffic violation) and moved from lane unsafely (traffic violation). Tomika Ashby was given an appearance ticket to return to Clarkstown Justice Court May 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
