NEW CITY WOMAN MAKES DEBUT AS AUTHOR

AllThingsMurder“All Things Murder,” New City resident Jeanne Quigley’s debut cozy mystery, will be released by Five Star Publishing on May 21. The mystery, set in a fictional Adirondack village, features Veronica Walsh, an unemployed soap opera actress who takes on the role of amateur sleuth after finding her controversial neighbor’s body. All Things Murder is the first book in the Veronica Walsh Mystery series.

In a starred review, the Library Journal said that “Quigley’s debut is a traditional village cozy infused with deftly applied soap opera flavoring. Her comfortable, first-person narrative introduces a talented fifty-something heroine.” Kirkus Reviews has called “All Things Murder “a “genial debut,” that “ably captures small-town living and a sense of class and family.” In its March 24 issue, Publishers Weekly noted that “Veronica is an entertaining, down-to-earth heroine, and the mix of small-town coziness and small-screen glam will leave readers eagerly awaiting their next trip to Barton.”

Jeanne Quigley, a New City native, is a graduate of Saint Augustine School, Albertus Magnus High School. and the University of Notre Dame, where she studied Sociology and English. She has worked in the music industry and is currently employed by Pearson Education.
