To the Editor,

The outpouring of support for Hudson Valley Honor Flight’s Fourth Mission on Saturday was overwhelming. Thank you to all in the community who showed up at Stewart Airport to send off our WWII Heroes to Washington, DC and those who welcomed them home. It took sixty years for our nation to complete the WWII Memorial and most of the veterans never got to see it. We are honored we were able to give 100 veterans of our Greatest Generation the chance to experience it. We would not be here if not for these men and women and the support everyone in this community gave them is truly a testament to the character of the people who live here.
