St. Thomas Aquinas College’s 57th Commencement Ceremonies will be held on the college’s front lawn on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2 p.m., weather permitting, announced Dr. Margaret M. Fitzpatrick, S.C., president of the college. In the event of inclement weather, the college will move its ceremony to Aquinas Hall and the ticket holder policy will be in effect. If necessary, the college will announce the change in venue by Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Carla Harris, vice chairman, Global Wealth Management, managing director and senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley, will give the Commencement Address to the graduates, who will be awarded Masters, Bachelor’s and Associate Degrees during the ceremony. Carla Harris will receive an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree; Mr. John Filippelli, YES Network President of Production and Programming, will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree; Ms. Virginia Keeton Hand, STAC Class of 1988, Director of the Holleran Center for Community Engagement at Alvernia University, will receive the Honorary Doctor of Pedagogy degree; Mr. Georg Kell, the Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, will receive the Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree; and Mr. KH Moon, President and CEO of Hansoll Textile and New Paradigm Institute, will receive the Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree. James Emsworth, President of the Student Government Association and Celeana Triantis, President, Class of 2014, will also address the graduates.
