Annual North Rockland Run/Walk is Next Month

The supervisor of the Town of Haverstraw, Howard T. Phillips, Jr., the supervisor of the Town of Stony Point, Geoffrey Finn, the athletic director of North Rockland School District, Joseph Casarella, Nam Knights and emcee Michael Greco announce the 11th annual North Rockland 5k Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, June 8 at 9 a.m. at Bowline Point Park, Haverstraw.

All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to:

– Aris Gomez, a sophomore honor student at North Rockland high School, who had a large aneurysm on the left side of his brain removed. He is currently undergoing extensive therapy at Helen Hayes Hospital and will require more surgery. His family is in need of financial help due to his mounting medical bills.

– Laura Mariotti, the single mom of Tyler and Anthony, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has been going through chemo treatments at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital. Her family is in need of help with her mounting medical bills.

Also this year special recognition will go to Frances Nardi, deputy mayor of the Village of West Haverstraw and the Stony Point Seals.
