More than 600 people visited Corner Bakery Cafe Nanuet during its pre-opening weekend and helped raise $2,500 for Keep Rockland Beautiful while enjoying a preview of signature dishes, such as the made-to-order Anaheim Scrambler for breakfast, Chicken Pomodori Panini for lunch, the mouthwatering Linguine & Meatballs for dinner and a variety of bakery fresh sweets like the signature Cinnamon Creme Cake for dessert.

Braving the weather, a line of guests waited in the icy rain on Monday, March 31, 2014 for the fast-casual restaurant to officially open their doors at The Shops at Nanuet where the first 100 guests received a commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe Nanuet travel mug with free refills of hand-roasted coffee for one year. To continue the celebration, all guests are invited to visit the cafe to enter for a chance to win free panini for a year and one lucky winner will be chosen on April 31, 2014.

“Rockland County continues to demonstrate its vibrancy and economic growth with new business openings such as Corner Bakery Cafe,” said County Executive Ed Day during the ceremonial ribbon cutting attended by officials and economic development leaders from Rockland County and Clarkstown on opening day. “The jobs they bring and the support of community efforts enhance life here in Rockland and are important to our residents.”

Corner Bakery Cafe Nanuet continues to accept contributions at the new cafe located at 75 Route 59 West for Keep Rockland Beautiful, which began its spring clean-up activities in Nanuet and New City on Saturday, April 5.
