Heavy rain and a…period of snow?

It has been said, all good things come to an end. And so our weekend wonderland of perfect weather is forecast to recede and a new dalliance with the never-ending 2013-14 winter to commence.

According to the National Weather Service and Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services:  “A cold front will gradually intensify as it moves east toward the area Tuesday, passes across the area Tuesday evening, then off the coast on Wednesday. This cold front will bring a variety of hazards including heavy rain, strong winds, a chance of thunderstorms, and a chance of wet snow and sleet as it ends west and north of NYC.”

As much as one inch of snow and sleet is possible in Rockland County on Tuesday night, forecasters say.
