Some 20 Airmont residents attended the Airmont Community Cleanup on Sunday, April 6. The group started out on the front lawn of Airmont Village Hall at 9 a.m. The cleanup was coordinated by Marc Grun. It was part of a broader “Keep Rockland Beautiful” cleanup effort to beautify Rockland County.
Airmont Trustee Ralph Bracco, who took part in the clean-up, told the Airmont Scoop, “The clean-up was a great way for neighbors to get together and do something for their community. We had more than twice the attendance of last years’ cleanup and it is my hope that this great program continues to grow and grow!”
Refreshments were prepared and served by Donna Lopopolo, Airmont’s Deputy Village Clerk. Trustee Dennis Cohen (@DennisCohen6) tweeted: “Thanks to Trustee Bracco and Airmont’s Deputy Village Clerk Lopopolo for organizing and participating in Airmont’s volunteer clean up.”
