Pearl River man arrested in Stony Point on bench warrant, accused of passing bad check

Pearl River resident Douglas J. Reyes, 53, was arrested Saturday, April 4 by Stony Point PD on the charge of issuing a false check. Reyes had been picked up by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department on an unrelated charge when a routine background check revealed a warrant in Stony Point on his record pertaining to a bad check for $1,000 he passed to his landlord in November 2013.

Reyes was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250.00 cash bail. He is due back in the Stony Point Justice Court on April 15, 2014.
