Post Card Club Meets in Pearl River

The Rockland-Bergen Postcard and Paper Collectibles Club will hold its next monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 2, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Pearl River Public Library on Franklin Avenue, behind the Central Avenue firehouse.

Guest speaker at about 7 p.m. will be author Penny Colman, who specializes in famous women in history. She will display parts of her extensive collection of post cards and other collectibles featuring notable women of the past.

Before and after the presentation members and guests swap, buy and sell post cards and collectibles among themselves, review current events and shows and display items from their own collections of interest to others.

Te meetings are open to the public and anyone with an interest in knowing about or collecting post cards and other paper collectibles is invited to attend. There is no fee and the meetings run from 6:30 to 9 p.m., when the library closes.
