MILITARY GRADUATIONS

Air Force Airman Kelly L. Hecker graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Hecker is the daughter of Lauren Crowe of Bardonia and James Hecker of New City. She is a 2011 graduate of Clarkstown High School South, West Nyack.

Air Force Airman Robert G. Serwatien graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Serwatien earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Pace Serwatien of Nanuet and Amber Chiarito of Monroe. The airman is a 2013 graduate of Nanuet Senior High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Qam B. Prince, son of Richard A. Fraser of Valley Cottage, N.Y. and Natasha R. Prince of Bronx, N.Y., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. The capstone event of boot camp is “Battle Stations”. This exercise gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet. “Battle Stations” is designed to galvanize the basic warrior attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit through the practical application of basic Navy skills and the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. Its distinctly ”Navy” flavor was designed to take into account what it means to be a Sailor. Prince is a 2012 graduate of Nyack High School of Nyack, N.Y.
