FIRST NIAGARA PRESS RELEASE

NYACK, NY, February 21, 2014 – First Niagara Bank, N.A. announced today that it is reestablishing its YouFirst Neighbor Loans program to aid homeowners impacted by the brutal 2013-2014 winter storm season experienced throughout the Northeast.

First Niagara’s “YouFirst Neighbor” unsecured loan program for eligible consumers is a fixed rate, one to five-year loan, between $1,000 and $10,000 with a 4.99% APR. No application, closing costs or prepayment fees are necessary, but certain conditions and restrictions may apply. Applications may be submitted through March 31, 2014, and can be approved between 15-30 minutes. This special loan program is available to customers in the Eastern Pennsylvania, Eastern New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts areas who have been affected by the 2013-2014 winter storm season.

“Homeowners need quick access to funds to address emergency repairs and costs caused by this winter’s severe weather,” said Cathie Schaffer, Regional President, First Niagara. “YouFirst Neighbor loans are designed to hasten the application process for customers, in the wake of weather-related damage to their homes and other property, so we’re pleased to be able to serve as a source of emergency funding in the communities we serve.”

First Niagara first launched YouFirst Neighbor Loans in 2012, to provide support to customers affected by Hurricane Sandy.
