BENJAMIN MILLS, CPA RECEIVES BSA AWARD OF DISTINCTION

Benjamin MillsBenjamin Mills, CPA, of Montgomery, New York–a partner at Goldstein Lieberman & Company LLC, and an Eagle Scout—will be awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts of America Hudson Valley Chapter at the organization’s Council Recognition Dinner to be held at Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown on March 22. The Silver Beaver Award is the local council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America.

Recipients are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. It is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. In addition to time spent volunteering at the local level with his son, Adam (Pack 32 in Montgomery), Mr. Mills serves as an executive board member for the Boy Scouts of America Hudson Valley Chapter.

In addition Mr. Mills is a partner at Goldstein Lieberman & Company LLC and excels in his profession, he is committed to serving the community. He is past-president and has served as an executive board member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants where he also chaired the Young CPA committee. He has served on the board of the Builders Association. The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan enlisted his expertise on its Professional Advisors Council. Ben also works as a liaison to the accounting departments of local colleges and universities.

An active member of the New York State Society of CPAs, he is also a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
