Borderline Hosting Sandy Cash from Israel By Way of Michigan at February Folk Music Show in New City

BY GEORGE J. DACRE

Sandy Cash high resSandy Cash is coming to New City. A singer and songwriter who grew up in the state of Michigan but emigrated to Israel 30 years ago, Cash has played Falcon Ridge, Jacob’s Ladder and many other big name festivals.

Her songs can be satirical, funny, serious and sad, depending on the topic. Many of her songs are based on her role as a housewife, raising four children in Israel where there is no separation of synagogue and state, says Borderline. She and her family reside in the Jerusalem suburb of Beit Shemesh.

She also sings and writes about the Middle East situation with an insider’s view as well as American civil rights and the Holocaust. Sandy plays the guitar and says Borderline has a great rapport with her audiences. The concert with Sandy Cash will be at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps building on Congers Road in New City at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 16.

Tickets and infomation from [email protected] or 845-354-4586. Borderline says you may bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with four other people.
