First Snow Leaves White Blanket, Cold Remains

1460004_10201922793982740_525565035_nThe first snow of the season fell Tuesday, leaving picturesque scenes across the region including at St. John’s Chapel in the Wilderness in Stony Point, Harriman State Park.

Traffic problems were avoided for the most part on Tuesday, but an icing on Sunday night did cause a few wrecks. While the snow got many Rocklanders even more into the holiday season spirit, a cold front leaving high temperatures in the 20s for much of the week is sure to be less popular.
