ROCKLAND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD; SHERWOOD NAMED PRESIDENT

The Rockland Community Foundation has announced its new Executive Board for 2013-2014:

Judge William Sherwood – President
Lawrence Codispoti – Vice-President
Emily Dominguez – Secretary
Karen Michalowski – Treasurer

Patrick Byrne will be stepping down as President, a position he has held for the past four years, but will remain on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The Board of Directors and I are extremely proud of how much the Foundation has grown over the past several years and I am honored to have been a part of this,” explains Pat. “However, given my wife Anne’s recent selection as President-Elect of the National School Boards Association, I felt that the time was right to hand the reins to new leadership within the Foundation. This will enable me to support Anne in her new role, and the extensive travel it requires. Judge Sherwood and the other members of our Executive Team are highly committed to guiding the Foundation, and I know it will be very successful in the coming years.”

“I am extremely honored that the board has placed its confidence in me as president,” says Judge Sherwood. “Ours is a true working board, with every member committed to making the organization a leader in Rockland-based charitable giving. We have some solid plans in place for the next twelve months, and I’m looking forward to seeing where they will take us.”
