New Stavisky Insult: Calls Day “Outsourcing Ed”

PRESS RELEASE EDITED FROM THE ROCKLAND COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE

Rockland County Democratic Chair Kristen Stavisky put out a press release Thursday afternoon criticizing GOPer Ed Day’s campaign for allegedly spending a majority of its money outside the Hudson Valley, in states as far away as Alabama and New Hampshire.

Throughout his entire campaign for County Executive, Ed Day has spent more $200,000, a majority of his total spending, outside of the Hudson Valley – including lawn signs from Alabama, mailings from New Hampshire, and high-priced consultants from Cooperstown, NY.

“This is just further proof Ed Day is wrong for Rockland,” said Democratic Chairwoman Kristen Stavisky, whose husband Evan runs a Queens consulting and printing firm that many Democrats outsource campaign work to. “Across Rockland and the Hudson Valley, there are locally-owned small businesses that do many of the services – like lawn signs, mailers, etc. – which Ed Day chooses to outsource. If he really cared about the local economy, he’d listen to his own rhetoric: shop local.”
