STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIMES 10/21

anderson 2 (2)BURGLARY, GRAND LARCENY, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF & CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
Denzil D. Anderson Jr., age 18, undomiciled, was arrested on October 18, 2013 for burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal contempt in the second degree. The defendant was arrested after an investigation into a burglary of a residence that occurred in the Tomkins Cove area of the Town. Investigation determined the defendant did forcibly enter said residence and remove property (a computer) from within without permission or authority. Said crime occurred while said defendant was precluded from entering said residence as a result of an active criminal court Order of Protection (stay away order) due to a pending grand larceny charge. The defendant was arrested by the Stony Point Police Detective bureau, processed and arraigned before the Honorable Frank Phillips and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is due back in the Stony Point Justice Court on October 24, 2013 at 9 a.m.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION
Gregory Michel, age 27, residing at 6 Frado Court, Stony Point, NY, was arrested on October 14, 2013 for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation and it was determined that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to operate in NYS was revoked for refusing to submit to a chemical test. The defendant was arrested and issued numerous traffic tickets returnable November 7, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Stony Point Justice Court.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION

Brian Cabral, age 30, residing at 15 Wayne St., Haverstraw, NY, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation and it was determined that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to operate in NYS was suspended for failing to answer a summons x8. The defendant was arrested and issued numerous traffic tickets returnable November 7, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Stony Point Justice Court. He was later released after posting $100 cash bail.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Cody J. O’Neill, age 18, residing at 226 Route 302, Middletown, NY, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. The defendant was arrested after officers responded to a report of suspicious persons and found the defendant in possession of a quantity of marihuana. The defendant was arrested, processed, and released on appearance ticket returnable in the Stony Point Justice Court on November 19, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
