FOOD BUS A MUST FOR ROCKLAND’S HUNGRY

Stuff the BusFood trucks are immensely popular but what about a “food bus?” Rocklanders are asked to do their part in helping “Stuff a Bus with Food for Rockland’s Hungry” on Friday, Sept. 27, 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Park & Ride on Route 59 by NYS Thruway Exit 14 in Spring Valley. “Stuff a Bus” is part of “Hunger Action Month in Rockland” and is organized by the Rockland County Department of Transportation, Rockland County Department of Social Services, Rockland Independent Living Center (RILC), People to People, and Catholic Community Services of Rockland (CCSR). People are asked to look for the bus parked in the lot and bring non-perishable items, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal and toiletries, etc. For more information contact RILC at 845-624-1366 ext. 112 or CCSR at 845-942-5791.
