P1000482 P1000486 P1000491 P1000494New Hempstead – The Corrections Officer Benevolent Association of Rockland County (COBARC) gathered at the New York Golf Club on a sunny September 18 for its 15th annual charity golf outing.

About 105 officers attended the event, which was held in memory of Greg “Rif” Sokolohorsky, who passed a few years ago. According to COBARC president John Kezek, this is the first year the event was held at the New York Golf Club, and it turned out to be a success.

“We ended up getting a lot more [attendees] than expected,” Kezek said.

All proceeds go toward COBARC’s scholarship program, which has given a total of $150,000 dollars over the years. In June, $10,000 was handed out to eight recipients.

Sponsors for the event included the union’s legal representatives at Koehler & Isaacs, Rockland Sheriff Louis Falco, and a raft of small business contributors.
