The New City Library Board of Trustees will elect three trustees on December 11. Individuals who wish to run for election must notify the nominating committee of their interest by submitting an application form provided by the Board. This application can be found at www.newcitylibrary.org and must be submitted by September 18, 2013. Those running for trustee must be a New City Library member in good standing, cannot be an employee of the library or a member of the immediate family of an employee, and must have a New City Library card for at least 180 days prior to the election.
Library members not selected by the nominating committee who wish to be trustee candidates must submit to the board a petition on a provided form signed by twenty members. The petition must be submitted by November 13, 2013 and must include all the information requested on the form. Forms are available during regular library hours: Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday: 12 noon – 5 p.m.
