A sign for highway superintendent candidate Dennis Malone (D) lies in tatters at the crossroads of Brewery and Congers Rd. in New City, while a Wayne Ballard (R) placard sits untouched right next to it.
Malone supporters called local media complaining the scene must have been the work of Ballard’s campaign. However, other possible explanations include: teenagers, a deer, a drunk, an inside job.
