On July 31, 2013 at approximately 5:15 PM, Roger Jefferson, 46, from Nanuet was arrested after an investigation conducted by the Clarkstown Police Department Detective Bureau revealed that he was responsible for burglarizing a rear office located at 102 Lake Road, Congers, the BP Gas Station.
The burglary occurred early in the morning on July 27, 2013. Entry into the building was gained by pushing in a window air conditioning unit and then climbing into the office. The proceeds were 2 computers valued at approximately $2500.
Jefferson was charged with burglary 3rd, grand larceny 4th, criminal possession of stolen property 4th (all felonies), criminal mischief 3rd and possession of burglar’s tools (both misdemeanors).
Jefferson was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court before Judge Johns. He was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is due back in court on August 5, 2013.
