When Monster Mini Golf opens its doors on July 1 on Route 304 in Nanuet, all of Rockland County will benefit from the location of one of the hottest new entertainment venues in the entire U.S., promoters of the concept claim

The Monster Mini Golf company was started by a husband and wife team in Connecticut in 2004 and currently boasts 30 locations across the United States and Canada. Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey dad and avid golfer Jerry Streim will head the Nanuet location.

A grand opening celebration will take place July 6 & 7 with face painting and refreshments. Former NY Giants running back Joe Morris will be on hand to sign autographs from 2 – 4 p.m. and there will be contests and giveaways for all ages throughout the weekend.

“Unlike traditional mini-golf which is played outdoors and depends on good weather, Monster Mini Golf is a unique indoor monster themed glow in the dark 18-hole miniature golf course which offers challenges for both kids and adults and can be played year round. One of the most interesting features is the fact that the art is hand painted and includes local landmarks. Each location is geared toward the area’s history,” said Streim who expects to hire twenty employees over the next several weeks.

“We’re looking for friendly, outgoing and engaging people to work at Monster Mini Golf,” said Streim. “It’s a place that caters to all ages and we want to make sure that everyone who steps through our doors has a great experience!”

In addition to the monster and locally themed artwork and animated creatures, Monster Mini Golf features an interactive DJ who entertains the golfers throughout their stay, playing cool music and giving away prizes. The Nanuet location will also have a state of the art arcade game area complete with fun prizes for every age and private event rooms for parties and corporate outings.

“While many people think of mini golf as a kid’s game, we’ll be catering to adults as well with parties and events,” added Streim, who has already partnered with several locally owned businesses to offer coupons, discounts and prizes that adults will appreciate.morris-j-8x10
