RIVERTOWN FILM HONORS HARRIET CORNELL AND ROGER SEILER, AND SHARES AN ENCHANTED “NOTTE DI FELLINI”

May 2013 – Find yourself transported into the baroque fantasy dreamscape of the legendary Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini, courtesy of Rivertown Film and Benefit Sponsor M & T Bank. The Nyack-based organization’s spring benefit, “Notte di Fellni,” Chairperson of the Rockland County Legislature, and Roger Seiler, former President of promises to whisk attendees away, both literally and figuratively. Harriet Cornell, the Nyack Library and Chair of Rivertown Film, will be honored for their continuing support of the arts.

The grounds of an Italian villa home in Grandview will play host on the evening of Wednesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. In addition to strolling musicians, stilt-walkers, fire-eaters and scenes from Fellini’s films projected on the villa’s exterior, guests will enjoy fare from eight fabulous restaurants: Lanterna, 8 North Broadway, La Fontana, The Hudson House, Commissary, and Marcello’s, with antipasti from Laraia’s Cheese Shop and desserts by New York City’s Ristorante Rafele. These deliziosi bocconi di cibo will be paired with a selection of fine Italian wines, courtesy of Palm Bay International.

A chance to bid on a Perillo Tours trip to for two to Italy rounds out the night. The Honorary Gala Committee includes Jonathan Demme, Nancy Savoca, Didi Conn, David Shire and Ric Pantale. Guests can even dress in their most Fellini-esque attire, if they desire.
