String of Car Larcenies Hits Clarkstown (Again)

The Clarkstown Police Department reports a rash of larcenies from motor vehicles in their town. Since mid May, numerous larcenies have occurred in residential areas of Congers, Valley Cottage, Bardonia, West Nyack, Nanuet and New City. Unsecured vehicles have been targeted with proceeds to include loose change, small electronic items, and briefcase/duffle bags.

The Clarkstown Police Department is urging resident to follow some simple crime prevention habits: keep all vehicle doors locked, windows closed, and don’t leave personal items in plain view.

If you are a victim of a larceny report the incident immediately to the police department. Do not touch or disturb anything and wait for the police to arrive.

The Clarkstown Police Department is urging residents to immediately report without delay any suspicious vehicles and or persons in their neighborhood.
