Due to overwhelming response, Rockland County Clerk’s Office to present small business workshop on May 13

Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato has announced that his office will host another small business workshop on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Allison Parris Office Building, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City from 5-7 p.m.

The workshop is being presented in conjunction with the Rockland Economic Development Corporation and Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef. Topics covered will include Guide to Business Planning, Doing Business with Government, Internet Marketing, Financing Assistance Programs and Veteran Business Opportunities.

According to Piperato, “small businesses are the catalyst for economic recovery and we must furnish them with tools necessary to succeed. In return, they will help to make Rockland County’s economy flourish.” The Small Business Workshops recently presented by the County Clerk have been very well attended and received positive reviews from the attendees. “In these economic times, many Rockland residents are interested in exploring the idea of opening up their own business,” said Piperato, who added that ”it is our hope that they will take advantage of this free workshop, which is specifically designed to help them thrive.”

The workshop is free and the both current and future small business owners are invited to attend. Although reservations are requested, walk-ins will be permitted. For further information or to save a spot, call Deputy County Clerk John O’Connell at 845-638-5732.
