STONY POINT’S MARINO EARNS ARMY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL

Army Staff Sgt. Robert F. Marino has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal. The medal is awarded to members of the U.S. Armed Forces, who while serving in any capacity with the Army have distinguished themselves by meritorious service or achievement while serving in a combat or non-combat area. Marino is a timpanist  assigned to the United States Army Field Band at Fort George G. Meade, Md. He has served in the military for six years.

Marino1345He is the son of Bob and Marilyn Marino of Indian Drive, Stony Point, N.Y. His wife, Elizabeth, is the daughter of Howard and Elena Bozenhard of Washington Drive, Rochester, N.Y., and Elizabeth Marino of Clark Drive, Sykesville, Md. Marino graduated in 2001 from North Rockland High School, Thiells, N.Y. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in 2005 from Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y. He earned a master of arts degree in 2010 from the University Of Maryland, College Park, Md.
