BOIL WATER ORDER LIFTED FOR SLOATSBURG

United Water received official notification from the Rockland County Health Department that enables the boil water order to be lifted for customers in Sloatsburg. The boil water order was issued for the addresses below following a main break on February 13.

The boil water order has been lifted for the following Sloatsburg addresses:

Route 17 (Orange Turnpike) southbound #124, 126, 128, 132, 136, 140, 142, 144, 146, 148, 150, 152, 160

Customers were ordered to boil water as a precautionary measure while United Water emergency crews restored water service and water quality tests were performed. Lab results indicate that the water meets all safe drinking water standards.

“We recognize that a boil water order is an inconvenience to our customers and we thank them for their patience during this time,” said Michael Pointing, vice president and general manager of United Water.
