KEEGAN TO RUN FOR MAYOR (AGAIN)

Former Suffern Mayor John Keegan has announced his intent to run again for the office of Mayor of Suffern in the upcoming November election. The incumbent Dagan LaCorte is running for county executive and will not be eligible.

Says Keegan, “I believe I accomplished many good things while Mayor before and want to continue that trend to improve the quality of life for our residents. We need to look at ways to keep costs down without jeopardizing our vital services. We can no longer tax our citizens to the point that they cannot afford to live here. Our seniors, most of whom are on fixed incomes, are already paying too much for the rising costs of food, gas and prescription medications don’t want to hear about their taxes going up.”

He added, ” My goal, if elected, is to make the fine village of Suffern a more affordable place to live and raise a family.”
