The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced that the Disaster Recovery Center located in Pomona will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd, and Friday, November 23rd, for Thanksgiving. The center will reopen on Saturday, November 24th, and resume the normal hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to assist Rocklanders affected by Hurricane Sandy.
In other Sandy recovery news, The Amish Outlaws will perform at a concert this Wednesday, November 21, at the Hudson Water Club at 505 Beach Road in West Haverstraw to benefit families affected by Hurricane Sandy. The event begins at 10 p.m. and is sponsored by the North Rockland Business Alliance. Donations and canned goods will also be accepted.
