HELEN HAYES HOSPITAL APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Lori Meszler 2500

Helen Hayes Hospital has announced the appointment of Lori Meszler as Chief Financial Officer. She will be responsible for managing all of the rehabilitation hospital’s fiscal departments, as well as Information Technology and Admissions, and will serve as the Administrator of Record for the hospital’s Subacute Rehabilitation Unit/Skilled Nursing Facility.

Meszler brings to her new assignment a wealth of experience in the health care and financial fields. She joins Helen Hayes from the New York State Veterans Home at Oxford, where she served in a series of positions with increasing responsibility over 29 years. She was the Chief Financial Officer at the Veterans Home for 17 years before becoming the Assistant Administrator in 2010.

Meszler earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Siena College. She succeeds Richard Buhowski, who recently retired after 15 years as the hospital’s Chief Financial Officer.

“I am honored to be appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Helen Hayes Hospital,” says Meszler. “The hospital has an established reputation for excellence and is a national leader in rehabilitation medicine. I look forward to working with both the clinical and non-clinical staff, who are all clearly dedicated to providing phenomenal patient care.”

Val S. Gray, the Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer says, “We are so pleased to welcome Lori to Helen Hayes Hospital. With her expertise and knowledge, she will undoubtedly be making valuable contributions to the operations of our hospital and to the environment of excellence that we foster here.”
