Taxi Cab Robberies: Clarkstown Police Want Your Help!

The Clarkstown Police Department is currently investigating a report of an armed robbery of a taxi cab driver which occurred on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at approx 11:20 p.m.

Two parties flagged down a taxi on Union Road in Spring Valley and asked to be taken to Second Avenue in Nanuet.  When the driver arrived at the destination, suspect #1 who was sitting behind him displayed a handgun and demanded cash.  Suspect #2 exited the rear passenger seat and entered the front passenger seat.  Suspect #2 then relieved the driver of his cell phone and an undetermined amount of cash.  Both suspects fled the scene on foot.

Suspect #1:  B/M, approximately 40 years old, 5’9”, 160 lbs, dark sweatshirt and dark pants

Suspect #2:  B/M, approximately 20 years old, 6’4”, 180 lbs, red sweatshirt

The Clarkstown Police Department is investigating another robbery of a taxi driver which occurred early Sunday morning.  It is unknown at this time if the two incidents are related.
