“Momentous” Latin Parade Planned This Weekend in Haverstraw

The United Latin Parade Committee of Haverstraw 2012 has announced the second combined Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Ecuadorian Parade in Haverstraw.

The parade will be held on July 15 with a rain date of July 22. The festivities will begin promptly at 12 noon and last the entire day, finally ending at 8 p.m. The parade route begins at the entrance of Emeline Park, and then proceeds to Broadway, and ends at the Haverstraw Middle School on Partition Street. Organizers anticipate over 15,000 spectators.

Alex Guarino, assistant to the supervisor of the Town of Haverstraw said, “As one of the largest events in Haverstraw, it is sure to be a momentous [occasion].”

The event is organized by the United Latin Parade Committee of Haverstraw 2012, which is comprised of the Dominican, Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian committees.
