Michael although not a celebrity like his brother, had had success composing music for film and television. As the name implies, the band is fronted by the brothers Bacon, but includes other musicians to round out the sound. Together the brothers and their band will bring what they call a “gritty rock sound and Philly Soul” to the stage.
Kevin Bacon told the Rockland Times “Yes, we are very serious about our music and have been doing it for seventeen years.”
Bacon said the band has worked very hard to build a following. They released a greatest hits album last year and are currently working on several new tracks. Born and raised in Philadelphia, the Bacon brothers have played with the same crew of musicians since the band started–Paul Guzzone (bass/vocals), Ira Segal (electric guitar/vocals), Frank Vilardi (drums) and Joe Mennona, keyboards.
Catch the band April 21 at 8 p.m. in the hamlet of Sugarloaf at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts. For tickets contact the box office at 845-469-2287
