Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence has announced that the Town of Ramapo will once again be sponsoring a “Free Document Shredding Weekend” for town residents on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 in the Ramapo Town Hall parking lot, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or until the on-site shredder truck is full.
“Shredder Weekend” is being held once again to give Town residents the opportunity to dispose of their unwanted persona/financial documents at no charge. Metal, plastic items, three ring binders and hardcover books are not accepted. Each participant is limited to three boxes 11” X 17” of documents.
“Shredder Days have become one of the most requested activities by our residents, which reflects their growing concern over identity theft” said Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence.
