D’Antoni Resigns

Linsanity is over and so is Mike D’Antoni’s tenure as Knicks head coach!

The New York Knicks six game losing streak and questions about the team’s chemistry and future have led to the resignation of D’Antoni after three and a half years on the job. Assistant coach Mike Woodson will take over the head coach position for now.

Rumors in recent days had star forward Carmelo Anthony and D’Antoni at odds.

The team was hot with upstart point guard Jeremy Lin leading the team for three weeks while Anthony was injured and Amar’e Stoudemire was coping with the loss of his brother. Once Anthony came back from the injured list the team tanked and has looked lost on the court.
