SHERIFF’S ARREST REPORT

On January 5, Carrie Kemmerer, age 29, from Tappan, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Contempt, a felony. She was put in the Rockland County Jail, and is awaiting a court appearance.

On January 9, Curtis Leonard, age 53, of Garnerville, was arrested on a warrant of a felony charge. He was brought to Rockland County Jail, where he waits for a return court date.

On January 10, 2012, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department announced that in the year 2011, 189 Family Court warrants were closed. The total included 144 warrants for child support payments and 45 assorted charges. Those who received warrants owed $2,095,684.87 to private petitioners, and over $8 thousand to the Rockland County Department of Social services.

On January 10, Jonathan Smith, age 52, was arrested in New York on an outstanding Family Court warrant. He was transported to Rockland County Court, and remanded to Rockland County Jail until his return to court date on January 11.

On January 11, Antonio Gonzalez-Moralez, age 49, of Haverstraw, was arrested in York County PA while out on a DWI charge and arrest warrant from Rockland County Court. He was transported to Rockland County Jail.

On January 12, Joseph Ritter, age 32, from Missouri, was arrested on a Family Court outstanding warrant. He was turned over to the Ramapo PD, due to a second outstanding warrant out of Ramapo Justice Court.

On January 12, James Scoot, age 45, of Congers, was arrested on a Violation of Probation. He was brought to Rockland County Jail and is awaiting a court appearance.

On January 17, John Moore, age 46 from Staten Island, was picked up by Rockland County Sheriff’s Department from NYPD. He was out on three different Rockland County Family Court arrest warrants. He was arraigned by Clarkstown Judge Ugell, he was remanded to County Jail on bail of $10,000, and has been ordered to return to court on January 18.

On January 18, Louis Jean-Baptiste, age 46 of Monroe, was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff Department at a traffic stop in Monroe. He was on warrant for arrest in Rockland County for an outstanding Family Court Violation, and was turned over to Rockland County Sheriff Department. He was arraigned in court by Judge Warren and was remanded to Rockland County Jail on $5,000 bail with a return court date on January 20.
