DEAD WOMAN FOUND IN MONSEY

As of Wednesday morning police have not released name of deceased 

On Tuesday, January 24 at approximately 8:41 a.m. the Ramapo Police Department responded to 7 Ellish Parkway for a report of a female lying down in the backyard. Upon arrival, it was determined by responding officers and Rockland Paramedic Services that the female was deceased.

The female, a 55-year-old resident of the Town of Ramapo, was discovered subsequent to the thawing of the recent snowfall. At this time, police say the death appears to be non-suspicious in nature pending the outcome of the investigation by the Ramapo Police Department and the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The police said her name would not be made public until all next of kin had been located. The Ramapo Police Department was assisted on the scene by Rockland Paramedic Services, Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigations, and the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office.
