CLARKSTOWN POLICE REPORT DWI ARRESTS

In conjunction with the Rockland County Sheriff Department and the Rockland County STOP DWI conducted a DWI checkpoint on Rt. 59 and Crossfields Blvd on December 17, 2011 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. The result of the DWI checkpoint was 5 arrests. They are as follows:

At 12:56 a.m. John Omalley, age 40, from Washington Township, NJ was arrested for DWI. He failed a field sobriety test at the scene and also a breathalyzer test at the police mobile processing van. He was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Justice Court on December 21, 2011 to answer the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (misdemeanor).

At 1:45 a.m. Deborah Sheppard-Pauline, age 58, from Memphis, TN was arrested for DWI. She failed a field sobriety test at the scene and failed a breathalyzer test at the police mobile processing van. She was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Justice Court on January 15, 2012 to answer the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor).

At 2:15am Jonathan Pfaff, age 28, from Upper Nyack was arrested for DWI. He failed a field sobriety test at the scene and a breathalyzer test in the police mobile processing van. He was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Justice Court on January 16, 2012 to answer the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor).

At 2:35 a.m. Kyle Thompson, age 28, from Pearl River was arrested for DWI. He failed a field sobriety test at the scene and a breathalyzer test in the police mobile processing van. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Justice Court on January 16, 2012 to answer the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (felony) Convicted on January 2010 for DWI.

At 2:40 a.m. Lauren Acevedo, age 22, from Orangeburg was arrested for DWI. When stopped she appeared to be in an intoxicated condition. When the officer tried to question her, she drove away and had to be chased by a police vehicle. She was stopped in the area of Sickletown Rd and Rt. 59. She failed a field sobriety test at the scene and was taken back to the police mobile processing van where she failed a breathalyzer test. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Justice Court on January 25, 2012 to answer the charges of Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor), and Failure to obey a Police Officer (traffic infraction).
