Bad decisions in the Airmont Diner parking lot

Just before midnight, Friday night, Feb. 23 a Ramapo Officer observed an erratic driver on Route 59 in Airmont.

When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver took off and tried to flee through the parking lot of the Airmont Diner. He struck the fence, flattened his two front tires, backed up, and continued to drive northbound on N. Airmont Rd.

He eventually stopped on N. Airmont Rd near Rella Blvd, where he was arrested for DWI, reckless driving and unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree.
