YMCA HONORS COMMUNITY LEADERS AT NIGHT OF MAGIC


YMCA Night of MAGIC Honorees: Chuck Maze, YMCA; Superintendent. Ileana Eckert; Chief Clarke Osborn; and Hon. Jen Laird White

Nyack Seaport will honor Jen Laid White, Mayor of the Village of Nyack, who received the Distinguished Service Award; Ileana Eckert, Superintendent of Schools North Rockland Central School District, who received the Service to Youth Award; and Clarke Osborn, Chief of Police of Village of Suffern, who received the Community Service Award.

“This was one of our largest attendances at the Night of MAGIC thanks to our outstanding honorees Jen White, Ileana Eckert and Clarke Osborn and their family and friends who attended,” said Chuck Maze of the YMCA. “We appreciate the good work of our benefit committee and the many generous people and local businesses who contributed to making this event a success for so many children in our community.”

Proceeds from the event are to support children’s and teen’s participation in the YMCA’s many programs including Y’s Beginnings Preschool, After School Child Care, Dance School, Teen Mentoring and Youth & Government.

The YMCA serves 7,000 members and program participants throughout Rockland County. The Y’s programs focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
